Ibiza Calling. Every Wednesday from June 19th until September 18th
The fifth Ibiza Calling season, which this year will take place every Wednesday from June, 19th to September, 18th, is going to undertake a revolution of its musical concept - but not so of its spirit. Hedonism, fun, colourfulness and freedom of expression are the starting point of the party, as they have been from its beginnings. The musical bet is on the genres gathered under the EDM concept, a phenomenon that has brought dance electronic music to masses. Genres like the latest house, the big room progressive, the party electro sound or the sharpest dubstep will have their share Wednesday after Wednesday.
One of Space Ibiza’s main features is that it has always been avantgarde when it comes to programming the new trends that sprout in electronic music. Since over two decades ago, the club places its bet on all sorts of genres in order to reach the different audiences and generations that year after year visit the island. Since the EDM phenomenon blasted massively, Space has also put an interest in this musical expression - so during this season one of its most acknowledged parties, Ibiza Calling, will bet for this innovative sound and its top representative artists.
The artists attending Ibiza Calling are the best representation of today’s EDM sound. Hardwell, #6 by Dj Mag’s Top 100 and one of the soundest producers of the mainstream scene, will be one of the party’s cornerstones. Dutch Dj Dannic, one of Hardwell’s pupils, will also have his share on several Wednesdays. Tom Staar, new generation’s producer that has captivated scene names as big as Swedish House Mafia, will debut at white island’s Ibiza Calling. Dyro, a producer godfathered by Afrojack and a key name to understanding today’s electro sound, will also make the club at Platja d’en Bossa tremble several Wednesdays. The most Balearic point of view will come from two of our most renowned residents, Camilo Franco and Danny Márquez.
